The King of Pop (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)

June 26, 2009

The King of PopYesterday, one of the world’s brilliant lights went out.  Michael Jackson, “The King of Pop”, died at age 50.  The media will bring to our rememberance his eccentricities and foibles, but we the fans remember his glory.  He is the Pop Icon and most relevant voice to the world’s musical conscience for over 40 years.

In many ways Michael Jackson was his music, his feelings, his hurts and joys were felt in every note – and we lived, as it were, his passion. I personally feel the world has lost a diamond that many saw as coal.

Rest in peace Michael Jackson.
